Our history started in the late 1890's.
Originally the Boise Stage Stop was in fact a store located in the small community of Regina, Idaho, the location of which was on the north side of I-84, exit 71. The Regina Store, as it was known, was owned by the local Postmaster. As it was custom in those days, mail was usually distributed via local businesses; in this case, the local Regina Store.
In 1929 when the old highway was changed, the new owners moved the entire Regina Store structure closer to the new highway and added additional square footage to the store. Their new location is the current site of the Boise Stage Stop. In the early 1950's the Regina Store burnt to the ground but was rebuilt shortly thereafter. The new facility was then re-named The Mayfield Stage and then again to its current name sake: The Boise Stage Stop.
